Blogging this week....

Blogging this week has been light due to the cloudy/rainy weather. That's probably a good thing since I was out taking pictures four days last week and I need time to catch up on other activities - like submitting my sightings to e-bird and cleaning up my hard drive to make room for more photographs. But, if you've been wondering why posting seems to occur in fits and starts, it is probably because of the weather.

The weather is looking promising the next few days so there should be some more posts coming up. I've been trying to go to the Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary and the Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge - Concord Unit once a week, and the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge on Plum Island once a month. May is approaching so I hope to have some more photographs from Plum Island soon.

I've also started visiting the Littleton heron rookery so I plan to try to take pictures there once a week also - at least until the nesting season is over. I'm not sure how I am going to do all that, post the pictures here, and keep up with the rest of my life, but I'll see what happens.

I'm also going to try out some new software, PhotoAcute Studio. It can be used to combine several similar photographs into a single higher resolution photograph. Hopefully this will help produce better images of the great horned owl, it's owlet(s) and the osprey nest at the Littleton heron rookery.

Stay tuned...

Hi,

First, congratulations for your blog, I have been following it for a little while and I like it.
I also going to try to go to the Great Meadows National Wildlife refuge once a week. I have been there 2 times so far this year.
I put some pictures on my WEB site:

In your blog, you mentioned "Littleton heron rookery", I tried to locate it on google maps but I could not find it.
It seems to be a great place, can you tell me how to find it?

Thanks,
