Posting Schedule...

I will probably not be posting much over the next few days. Hopefully I'll have more to post by the middle of next week.

Also, I have added a link to "Best of Sightings" along the top of web site just under the header. This page contains links to, and thumbnails of, my all time favorite posts. It's a bit more selective than the "favorites" label. I'll be adding more posts to it over the next few days.

Favorites

I've updated some old posts that I thought were nice pictures or rare or interesting sightings with the label "favorites". I hope this hasn't disorganized the feeds too badly. I've also added some links to the header and side bar to view the favorite posts in blog or feed format.

Searching With Two or More Labels and Custom Feeds

I was recently asked if it is possible to use more than one label in a search. I looked around on the internet for an answer to that question and found out there is a limited capability to do it.

You can search this blog for up to 25 posts that have two or more labels. For example, to find the most recent 25 posts that have the labels "great blue heron" and "great meadows concord", use the url:

http://o3cpcs.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default/-/great blue heron/great meadows concord

The results of the search are returned as a feed, but most browsers will support that format. You can usually click on the title of a post in the feed to view it on the the web site.

You can also use this type of url to create a custom feed. For example, if you want to create a feed of all posts with the label "great meadows concord", use the url:

http://o3cpcs.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default/-/great meadows concord

I've added this information to the "How To Use This Web Site" page which is linked near the top of every page.
